JCM provides professional coaching to ensembles throughout Southern California.

What JCM Does:
We audition students and match them into teams (according to level, age, and location) to work with world-renowned coaches in their area. We offer support through the process of getting music, scheduling, and repertoire choice. In addition to the Final Concert, JCM provides additional performance opportunities through local music organizations. Additional support is given through the Gala Orientation Dinner, Master Class, and numerous Summer Festival Scholarships (for a list of summer organizations, please click on Connections).
JCM offers:
- 8 Coaching Sessions with renowned coaches in your area.
- One-on-one training (one instrument per part) plus the social aspect of playing in an ensemble.
- Flexible scheduling and local rehearsals/coaching
- Four Audition Locations: Cal State Northridge, USC, Whittier College, and Soka University in Orange County. Every year, we expand to find students in your area to limit driving for everyone.
- College Credit: 2 units of college credit available through Orange Coast Community College for qualifying ensembles (see Connections for more details).
- Four Year Program - Students are placed in different ensembles, with different coaches and repertoire genres each year. We honor requests for repertoire, grouping assignments, and coaches.
- Masterclass with renowned pianist and teacher John Perry.
- Scholarships to summer music festivals around the world.
|

Every year, over $20,000 in summer festival scholarships are awarded!
